Aquael Heater Light

I dont know, if this can be posted here... but..

I have an AquaEl 50w comfort zone heater.
When I turn it on, the light comes on (meaning the heaters on).
But after a while it goes off...
I thought it was meant to stay on.....

Probably just switching on and off with the thermostat - normal for most heaters.

it will only turn on when its heating up the water when the waters at the set temprature it will turn off then turn itself on again once the temprature goes down

Oh, thank god. I thought I had a faulty one. So when the temp. drops, it'll turn on again?
I thought the light stayed on all the time.

I've got no fish in it at the moment, but the wtaer seems to go too cold.

what are you using to measure the temprature? is the thermometer on the inside or outside of the glass?

yes it will turn back on it wont drop much before it turns back on.

get one the floats inside the tank the ones that stick on the outside of the glass are useless give you bad readings

Ive never seen them before... do they just float ontop?

They just sit in the water with a suction cup to stick it to the glass.
