Can you put the AquaC Remora Pro Protein Skimmer With Mag-Drive 3 Pump in the sump??

Sure, just make sure the water level in the sump comes up to about the same level that the skimmer would normally see if it were running HOB.

Definitely can. I have it that way myself. But be warned, the mag drive is LOUD.

Trust me its the powerhead. Just for kicks I put a maxi jet on there and it wasn't noisy at all. The Mag drive is pretty powerful and makes one hell of a racket.
