Aqua One Horizon 60

This is a fine looking tank! I'm planning on getting rid of all my little tanks I've bought and never setup. They are so limited-I have 2 bettas and some endlers which is about all I like that can go in them. I'm thinking a community with some small fish I like that wouldn't do so well in a larger tank. So I'm thinking buy a 2ft/60l ish tank and I like this one. One has come up on eBay in my area with loads of extras, including 2 filters. Looks like they've never used the HOB that comes with it. Is it any good?
Also, although they've only had it 3 months, 2 of the plastic grooved sections that hold the glass are missing. I heard aquaone had stopped making tanks, am I likely to get replacements for these?
Any other observations from anyone with this tank?

As far as I know,they are still making tanks,I just bought a brand new,60l one.All I can tell you about the hob filter is it is very simple,works,how effective it is-pass,I literally just turned it on tonight.
I was on their website earlier and you can find your local stockist there,they'd prob order spares for you.

Yep,this is the exact one that I have.Filter is very simple,must say I've never used a hob before,only thing I did,was to cut out the pouch holding the active carbon,ditch that and replace it with a piece of mature sponge.Can't see any reason why it shouldn't be adequate if you keep on top of your wc's and don't overstock.
Did you get it?I'm not too keen on the stand,think it looks a bit naff,but it's a nice wee tank,and I really liked the open top look with the luminaire.

I thought £50, and went over £60, but it went for £65.50 in the end, still a great bargain. I agree about the stand, I wouldn't have used it, but the tank is very stylish. I wasn't planning on setting it up for a while, so I'll keep an eye out for something else.

Ellena, if you do want one I would recommend them!

I had one and they're the dogs danglies! But I wouldn't recommend the HOB filter, and also, the one bad thing about them (but I still love the horizon) is alot of algae builds up on the top glass.

Where's that Haych? I was looking online to get an idea what would be reasonable to pay, and I could only find one place, £130 just for the tank, although that's all I'd want.

I paid £120 for tank,stand,heater and filter from my lfs.Search their website for your local dealer and ask them what their price would be for tank only.

Good price! I'm not planning on setting it up until after summer hols this year, so I'll keep looking on eBay and try local dealers if that fails :good:
