Just in the process of setting up my Aqua One 980.

May seem a daft question but where do you run the wires from the heater, pump etc?

Doesnt seem to be any cut outs in the back section of the filter unit.

Sorry to quote names but thought it would get your attention, and i knew you had one because you helped me in the past.

My aqua 620t has the leads coming out of the left-there is a slot at the back-probably wont be any use to you as yours is a bigger tank- i did cut a slot for an air pipe though.

I do have a slot on the left where the power head cable comes out, but the heater is at the other end and that means the wire would be running inside the tank, not sure if this is ok but does not look good either.

Hi, yes I have the same with my 850

I have my heater at the water return shoot end. At first I drilled a small hole in the chamber above the return shoot then cut the plug off the heater and fed the wire up the overflow hole (not the shoot) and out the drilled hole at the back. Fitting a new plug as the sealed one was rendered useless.

This method is ok but is a pain when removing the whole filter section for major cleaning.

However, an easier method is to file a notch out of the front section hood at the side near the back and trail the wire through

No. just clik on my name then clik send message and pop you email in a message, that way only I get to see it. It's just easier for me to email you a bunch of photos in an email than on here. (Also the pm will remind me tomorrow when I get home from work!)
