Aqua Medic Membrane Co2 Reactor With D&d Co2 Kit

My d&d co2 arrived taday but it came with an aqua medic co2 reactor exactly the same as this one and wanted to know if it is any good or should I stick to using my hydor turbo diffuser -

Cant say Ive used one, but I guess the principle is sound. Looks pretty ugly thou!
