I was looking for information on bioload and I found an interesting website: Aq-Advisor [no - dot com]. I was wondering if any more experienced aquarists/fishkeepers could comment on the site's reasonability/practicality. Has anyone used it?

It's not very popular here on TFF. The moderators recommend not using it, so much so that you can't even say it ##150### <--

Thank, that explains it. I was trying to figure out what was going on - thus the "-" and the " ". OK. Well, any idea why?

This is due to the questionable gathering & implementation of data, constant complaints of malware and other viruses, as well as being commercial advertising in proxy without the forum owner’s permission.

Guess we shouldn't talk about a lot of fish sites then :p Bottled bacteria and the like...

I agree though, I think for them to put a number on "Bioload" is unbelievably hard and misleading. I however have found the "Sizing" help as it gives a good break down on the fishes size/temp/pH requirements which are generally the same as other sites. It also gives you the range in which all your fish if you were to keep a community tank would need to be in and if any of the fish you are planning to stock aren't within that range.

It's good for some stuff but to try and put a number on bioload I think is just too hard to find it believable or useful.
