Another Topic,

Ordered Some apple snails from Cornish Crispa.

They arrived on Thursday Morning and I added them when I got Back From Work.

This morning after the Weekly Water Change

I have Missing

2 LongFinned Albino Corys
1 Gold Ram
1 Pink Ram
15 Neons - Including the Ultra Rare White Neon i Found.
2 Gold Leopard LongFinned Danios
3 Croaking Gourami's

Could this have been the Introduction of the Snails or are they Predatory.

Help

I aint neva heard of a fish eaten apple snail....hmmm. Could it have been something else that came with them. For example a desease or another pest??

Have u noticed anything odd?

Nope Not Noticed anything wrong with the fish.

All the Pygmae cories are fine and the Mystery Fry is still there.

Predatory snail? You have to have some slow ass fish to be killed by a snail. I think it's gotta be something that came with them, not the snails themselves.

Lets hope it's not the snails, Im about to go pick up ten Apple Snails smoetime this weekend

lol... I can see the snails climing up the highest part of the tank and laying in wait until jumping off and ambushing an unsuspecting fish on the way down :D

Missing as in dead, or missing as cant find them? I honestly do not think it was your snail that did it! Perhaps though, you had a nasty hitchhiker, and even then I cant think of anything that could eat that many fish. *shrug*... I blame the waterchange! Perhaps something wrong with your water?

snails eat algea and dead meat
i can't imagine a snail catching a fish and manage to eat it, let alone all those fish, some are quite big for a snail.

if the fish died, it's possible the snails ate them, but they wouldn't have killed them, that's for sure!

Apples are about as predatory to live, healthy fish as they are decathlon runners. In otherwords, they ain't. Something else happened in your tank and either killed your fish and the snails ate them (unlikely) or someone took them. Unless you had an army of snails and some really stunted fish, I can't see even a dozen eating all those fish in a week let alone overnight. Besides, they would leave skeletons behind and with so many missing you are guaranteed to see skeletal remains somewhere.

My guess is someone stole the fish or they otherwise somehow ended up outside of your aquarium. Why anyone would steal them is beyond me but it's more plausible than murderous snails.
