apple snails

i hate them..

they ate all my plants and moss..



malaysian trumpets dont touch the plants..

Depending on the species of Apple Snail, some don't eat plants.

all i was told is that they wont eat my plants... these ones totally cleared out my moss... i had TONS of moss.... they must be gettin fat... and my whole cambomba plant gone aswell... BOOO APPLE SNAILS

ive had my malaysian trumpets for like a month almost...

i bought 2.... now i got like..... 10... bunch of little ones... theyre cool looking... once they get bigger i think ill try them with my bettas.

Apples snails and plants don't go together. lol

I have a bunch of them and different kinds...They ALL eat the plants.

Makes ya mad don't it?

OMG I HATE THIS 1 APPLE SNAIL... the other one i havent seen doing anything wrong..

but this freakin one was trying to eat my biggest malaysian trumpet snail.. about an inch long..... if this apple snail keeps doin this he gonna end up with the convicts.

Not to be rude but what do you expect the apple snail to eat? Unless you provide an alternative he's going to munch on your plants. The number one cause of death in apple snails is starvation!

Give him some veggies. I give mine zucchini every other day by weighing it down in the aquarium. You can also give them cucumbers, spinach and lettuce.

By the way, my 55 gallon is fully planted and I've never had a problem with them eating my plants. Why? Because I give them something else to eat!

i threw a 4 inch piece of cucumber in there... the apple snails were on it all night i think... couple of the malaysian trumpets were on it also... hopefully they wont starve...

what im wondering is... how long can i leave it in there for...

should i take it out after a week or jus leave it for em to eat?
