Apple Snails Eating Riccia?

just looking in my tank and i found a snail eating some of my floating ricca to i pushed him off and now hes crawled back up and is eating it again

will they do this?

LOL, yeah my apples used to do that. They eventually died though They were getting massive too. About 2.5 inches.
