Apple Snail Eggs

Hi
My apple snails have laid eggs, how long till i can tell if they are fertile or not?
They have been there about a week now but seem to be the same colur as when they were first laid but look healthy enough at the moment.
Also if they do hatch will they end up as food for the fish?

I can't really help with whether they are fertile or not, but from what ive found with mine, once they hatch the babies bury into the substrate (or so i'm told), and they grow so quickly that I have always ended up with loads, ive got alsorts with my applesnails (angels, rams, cories etc)
