Apple Shell Snail Problems

Any idea's whats going on? I have some blue apple snails that dont show the same marks.

Ph 7.4 so shouldn't be erosion, ammonia+nitrite 0 with 20 nitrate
 
it likes extra growth to me, where it stops and starts, like out nails the shell is layered, and obviously the thin layers are more delicate, make sure you feed stuff that high in calcuim, those holiday blocks are good, or you can get calcuim blocks for inverts, di
 
It looks like the outer layer of the shell has been damaged, this is what prevents the shell from dissolving. As long as you keep the ph above 7 the damage should not progress much further. If you want you can consider attempting to repair it. I think applesnail.net has some tips and links on how to do this in the diseases section.
