Appistogrammas? Suggestions

i was wondering what appistogramma is hardy,colorful and at least a little peaceful toward other fish

it doesnt matter if they breed

i will try( ) keeping them with

8-12 shoaling fish
4-6 cories/loaches?
2 appistogrammas

i will have it planted with java fern, java moss, dwarf anubias and 2 other backround plants
substrate would be black sand
i will have plenty of rock caves and a twisted root decor. for cover

so tell me what you think?
also if i cant do appistogrammas what about lyretails? or gouramis? just ideas

sounds like you want a very similar setup to mine.. i just special ordered my pair of apistogramma cacatuoides (super red variety) Apisto cacatu i also like the apistogramma panduro (im sure you can google images that 1 ) although these are south american dwarf cilchids ...

you could defo do gouramis tho im sure if you post of in that sub forum carlovel1 would fill your head with knowledge like he did with me hehe
