Two weeks ago I bought one of those topfin packets with the bulbs with some aponogeton ulvaceus in it. Three of the four bulbs sprouted and with in two weeks I already have three flowers that have sprouted with many other little flowers shooting to the surface at a few inches a day. But in all the pictures I see the leaves are green but my leaves have a red tint to them. Is this normal and healthy?

do you have pics??

Ulvaceus leaves are almost always green. There are a Crispus red species available though.

Sorry I can't get pictures up at the moment. I have about 1 wpg so do you think the fact that it is low lighting could affect color?

My Aponogeton Ulvaceus is also solid green twisted leaves too, I do get the occasional tunner though with a flower pod that grows emersed. took 24 hours to groe 2 feet' :hyper: however once it was emersed, the bulb didnt flower, so could be right

Do you run ferts and co2?

Do your leaves look like this ---> A. Ulvaceus Picture

They are starting to look like that but they are still young. I must have some hybrid and I don't had any ferts or CO2 but they have good aeration. But I get about two new flowers a day :hyper: they are growing very fast. I found in an article that they will get red coloration in intense light. I guess 1 wpg is intense light for them.

1wpg is certainly not intense light unless your using T5's and its right above the water surface maybe? pictur of your tank and plant might help :good:
