$3.50 a piece at petco, for a few mini-oddballs that get to four inches and have huge mouths :D

They are already eating (They started yesterday, after being in QT for 2 minutes  ) and coming to the front of the tank check out the big thing staring at them :p I probably have three males that will need separation in the future too, it's a good thing that we have so many tanks in my house :S

Oh and meet my second set of Sev and Uaru (My dad picked these guys up for me), they're both around an inch so we have some time before a new tank is in order  ;)

As you can see, the severum has begun to warm up to me, but the Uaru is still pretty cautious, in a week or two they will be begging me for food instead of hiding :)

And please don't complain about the Sev+Uarus tank looking dirty, its a 10g quarantine that was set up for the fish' comfort, not for our viewing pleasure ;) My quarantines have been insulted before

I like the first and last picture the best. Your fish are cool. They look very healthy I still wish we had the fish of the month contest. :kewlpics: :kewlpics:

Thanks, pity the contest is gone, I only got in once, and before the polls started the OTMs were gone :dunno: I'll try to get more pics of some other fish soon, I've been taking a break from posting pics :p

did you get the varu from petsmart? beware of those killis.. when mine got a little bigger then that they went nutso on each other.. they also enjoyed eating my little rainbows

The Uaru was from a different store, petco would never have them.

I think I can handle these killis, I can probably separate them into some of my other tanks if they get too aggressive, and I love predators BTW :p

is that the Golden Panchax?
Great fish Dwarfs
btw, what are the names of the new Uaru and Sev?

DD

Golden panchax, golden wonder killi, yep, that what I have :)
My dad calls them quarter (Sev) and 50 cents (uaru) because of their sizem but I think that they will get new names in a few weeks, when their "personalities" come out :p

thanks :D

Yesterday I saw the killis flaring at eachother, opening their mouths threateningly, this isn't a good sign is it?

doesnt sound like a good sign. sounds like theyre going to give each other some beat downs

Heh, nope! And it looks like you probably have three males like you said. The one in the bottom left corner in the second pic *could* be a female, but doesn't look that way. Float some java moss... lots and lots of java moss! Just make sure they don't beach themselves on it, silly fish.

I guess the females are more plain colored (gray)? I can probably separate these guys into different tanks, but I do want to try breeding them as well, I saw some grey ones at petco (Although I thought the grey was the usual sign of "to be dead" fish at petco) so maybe I'll go back and pick a couple up :)

Very cool looking fish Dwarfs  I'm planning on getting some killifish soon. I know a breeder who has over 100 different species :) He just set up a new shop and he said it's going to take him awhile to move everything from his house to the shop. I can't wait to see all the killies he'll have for sale. He already have some in the shop but they don't look too spectacular until you shine a flashlight on them and then they look like totally different fish. The colors killi fish have are amazing!!!

I almost bought a golden panchax a couple months ago but then read they can get really aggressive so I never bought him. I still see him in the shop and am tempted to bring him home...but I'm not sure where I could put him

Anyways really :kewlpics:

Great pics!
I miss my Golden. He jumped out of the smallest hole. :/

How big is your 1st Urau, now? :dunno:
