Thank you very much andywatson29. Ah the LFS just said soft water, so the high PH should be relatively ok, I really like the borellii, they are available and wouldnt mind a pair (hoping as lower boundaries good to go with teh choices above and perhaps an angel). Also really like the agassizii though no where local yet though then again there will be a new delivery soon. So either of those would be good with teh neon gobies as other companions on their lower level.

p.s. thank you everyone very very much for all the help, really appreciate this as do find the internet very conflicting.

The ones i have are listed as agassiz dwarf cichlids but dont look like the ones posted i havent been able to find any similar pics of them via google

Can you post a pic of them?

Yeah the picture doesnt do them justice they are alot more vibrant and brighter than that but i think she had just woken them so they look a little shocked lol

How old is it/how long have you had it? How big is it 5cm?

im not sure i got them from my supplier they were just advertised as large they are about 2" i think in size

They look more like borellii's to me. Def not Agassizii's

thanks shane87, how do you find your angelfish by itself? relatively happy and behaves with teh other fish, reckon I would get on ok with my stocking of 6 glass catfish, 10-15 male guppies, 2 apistos, 2 gobies? (lamps being moved fingers crossed)

the anelfish seems fine swims all over the tank, even feeds with the corys

Agazzis are gorgeous we have finally decided on a pair of apisto borellis, we have gone against the angel fish as it will likely eat guppies and beat everything else up and possibly going to go with some lace gouramis, thanks very much everyone!
