I am looking into getting one of these fish, but I have a few questions before I order them(since none of my LFS carry them) I have read that they are a semi-aggresive fish, So will they go well with my fish I have in my tank now:

-German rams
-Angels
-Cardinals
-Cory's
-Bristle nose plecs

Are they a hardy fish? What is the life span? Any other information will be helpfull. Thanks

Hi there,

If you are referring to the tank in your signature, then you will have to make a choice > either a pair of German rams or a pair of Apisto's.

As you have a pair of Bolivians in there already, then really you only have enough tank space for 1 more territory.

All the dwarves will be aggresive when in comes to breeding time, it's in their nature. 1 way round this might be just to stock males.

Just noticed you are planning/have angels as well (and nice little snacks called cardinal tetra's for them when they grow to adult size!!), so if you have them in there already I would scrap adding any more dwarves.

If I decide to get these, I am going to get rid of my bolivians. Also this is an update of what I have, my signiture is off a little

-4 Angels
-9 Cardinal Teteras
-2 German Ram's
-2 Bolivian Ram's
-6 Cory's
-2 Bristle Nose

I've heard the Rams could get aggressive with the Cories during spawning and bite their eyes off. Just something to look out for, would hate to see that happen. :-(
