I am really excited at the prospect of maybe just stumbling across Apisto eggs!!

I have just looked in my tank and noticed lots of little dots attached to one of the leaves in my tank. I have recently added a hareem of Apistogramma Agassizii's into my tank and one female and the male are protecting these little eggs quite fiercely!

As far as I know these are the only guys in the tank that could be responsible for the eggs, but I am unsure as to wether they definitely do belong to them as looking on google, the eggs are more reddish where as mine are white? And I was told they tend to lay their eggs inside caves where as these are on leaves?

Can anyone tell me from the following pictures wether they are? And if they aren't, why are my male and female sticking very closely to them and not letting my other fish anywhere near? As you can see from the photo's, my female is staying very close to them at all times.

Sorry for the quality but they were taken on my iPhone.

Thanks :)

Could possibly be if you tank lavks a cave this could of been the next best thing

There is a cave, but for some reason they haven't taken to it? The bogwood on the far left of my sig acts as a cave as they can get underneath it and it is quite large, when I bought them I had this in mind to be their little hidey hole but instead they have chosen to inhabit my other piece of bogwood.

Just in front there are the rocks which form a very tight cave that they tend to flit in and out of, but the actual eggs have been put in-between all of the dense plants behind the wood (the most heavily planted part of the tank)

Do they look like Apisto eggs then in your opinion?

I have no idea what is your other tank stocking ? And they could be white if they are infertile or gone fungy

The only other thing it could possibly be is German Blue Ram eggs but I highly doubt it as my female GBR died about 1 week ago now and the male has taken no interest in that area at all.

My other fish are 1 Angel, 2 Honey Gouramis (both male), 1 GBR (male), Corydora's, Neons, Pentazone Barbs, Harlequin Rasboras.

Owww :( so they may just be eggs but not fertilised?

I dunno, they don't seem round enough to be Cory eggs?

Well it appears today the female has decided to eat all the eggs :\ that was short lived!! Literally!!
