Well, I lost my pair of rams a few weeks back so I'm looking to replace them. I'm also considering Apistogramma Agassizi and Apistogramma Caucatoides. I'm wondering how feasible it would be to house a pair of Rams and Agassizi, or a pair of Rams and Cockatoos in a 55 gallon tank.

I know that Rams are pretty peaceful, but how's the tempermant and agression on the others?

I have 4 bolivian rams and a trio of tripple red cockatoo's in my 96G and they all get along fine...unless there's a spawn then they get nippy but nothing serious - just get out of my breeding ground type thing.
I love them all!
Good Luck

Apistodave just sold me 1 male and 2 female agassizi to share a 40 gal tall w/1 male 3 female caucatoides. He said the 4 caucatoides would be enough cockatoos in a forty. But recommended the agassizi as tank mates. I considered asking about ramirezi, but decided against it.

The point is that the agassizi and the cockatoo can live in community tanks and be fine with others who keep to themselves. I've seen my cockatoos play with the clown loaches, move aside for the BN share a hidy spot with the cories. They are less agressive than my HiFin Serpae.

I say go for it.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks guys.
