Api Buffer Max

ive puchased some api buffer max and read the directions, etc on the back and it measures in dKH, do i need a GH/KH test kit or is there ways around it

Is that a pH buffer? If you're having problems with fluctuating pH then testing the GH/KH of your water will show you where your problems are. U can also use lime stone chippings and crushed coral to increase your GH/KH and therefore your pH.
