Just browsing around and found Cal Aqua's homepage. I didn't realise you can order direct from them, and they seem to have an offer on for some of their range. For instance, the Cal 13mm inlet & outlet set for aquariums 20+ gallons is $90 with free air shipping. Not that bad really! Only £10 more than the Flo pipes from eBay etc, give or take a few £'s

I would be tempted, if I had any money

Already have some PM ones now - only thing that would put me off getting direct from the US is postal damage - AE sent me mine very well packed but the intake pipe was broken in the post - whilst AE did sort a replacement FOC, doing this with something sent from the US could be time consuming and possibly expensive if you end up paying the return postage....

Am I the only one who thinks that these things ARE THE MOST OVERPRICED DAMNED THINGS IN THIS HOBBY?

My God in heaven, we've been blowing glass since Roman times, so it's hardly rocket science and the material used is hardly rocking horse shi.... So why, oh why are they so bleedin' expensive? Now, the ADA one, sorry Mr. Amano, you're takin the P-i-double -s.....

Thought I'd share that with everyone! :D

I agree - and I also wonder why no-one has used decent quality clear acrylic to produce the same thing! Surely it must be cheaper and far less easy to break! We use acrylic for other CO2 related equipment (bubble counters etc) so I can't see any issues with it going cloudy. Even then we don't need clear ones, some standard colours (green, black?) would be more than suitable and easily hidden in a planted tank.
