Anyone On Here In A Rock Band?

I used to be in a metal band a few years back, playing bass...i got too busy with school (needed to get my grades up so i had to focus on my studies)...the band is still going tho, some of my best friends are in it...i play acoustic guitar on my own now and write my own stuff...if only i could sing lol...are you in a band Carp?

Used to be, years ago. Still have all my gear, get back into it on occasion. There's a lot you can do with computer recording these days, really don't need a bunch of guys to try to get organized if you don't have the time.

if i didnt spend all my money on fish equipment then i would invest in some of this software lol

I've just started one, well fairly recently. I play electric guitar and bass, plus can play basics on keyboard and drums a bit as well. For the ban i play electric guitar or bass depending on the song. We want a female vocalist, a lead guitarist. At the moment it's only really a 2 man band because one guy doesn't really do much. We're playing Seven Nation Army- The White Stripes at the moment. Good song for a 2 man band to play, especially because the White Stripes are a 2 man band! LOL

what kind of bass do you have? i still have my fender jazz five string lol (i was in the school jazz band) what kind of music are you planning on playing?

Was in a band for over 5 years, been playing electirc guitar about 14years now, played local clubs n venues, went in2 a local studio and recorded a 12 track cd,was a good experience, only play in my spare time now, mostly classic rock, gnr, metallica, motley crue n iron maiden.

I'm currently the drummer in a metal band. We've been going for about 2 years now, but not succesfully, we're finally pulling together a full line-up to record/ perform. We've written songs, well, mainly our guitarist has written songs (I contribute parts of songs, riffs, lyrics here and there, but I write my own drum tracks), and we've demo'd a few, but hopefully we get to performing this year. When I say metal, I mean death metal, thrash, and power metal influences.

just started one.
i'm lead guitar and i've got a drummer male singer and a female singer.
we're setting up for a pub gig, but for now where just writing songs.

What kind of rock? Whenever I hear a band with both male and female vocalists, I generally like them.

Oh, and me and a few friends are going to write/ cover a few reggae/ "hippie" songs over the summer just for fun. That is once I get my bongos.

I was in a few metal/grunge bands and now I just have a wanky solo project. -_-
