what would be a good price to pay for a wild breeding pair of these??

I haven't kept one, but my boyfriend has, so I'll give you as much info as I can.

They are pretty peaceful cichlids that get to a medium size (check specific size in the link from stang1). They'll eat anything, just like a typical cichlid and can be kept with similar sized fish easily.

I don't know how well they do with others of the same species, though. Also, they seem to be pretty easy to find around here. They just started to appear on the market readily about 2 years ago, though. They're relatively cheap for juvies (<$10). Wild caught pairs will obviously go for more.
