Anyone here read PFK mag?!

If anyone does and what they think of it...

I went to the shops at ten to nine this morning to buy PFK as I knew it was out today... and now I worry I am a bit sad...!!

I love reading it though I find lots of it not particularly relevant to me and my goldfish, and soon to be mini tropic tank...

But it's great 'one day' dreaming material! And it helps clue me up.

Any other fans.. or critics?

lol i'm like that too... I buy it first day it comes out every month too Most isn't relevent to me, (I only have tropicals and coldwater and a couple of puffers) no marine or cichlids... but it's interesting stuff. My friends think I'm sad

I like PFK, its fun to read, nd its much better than the other two american mags available at my newsagent. In aus here where i get it its 2 months behind though....

sometimes i find there answers are a litle off in somne cases though. there was one in this months which i can't rember now.,

Hey could I jump in here with a mag question? I was about to start my own thread when I saw this one Does PFK send subscriptions to the US? I've never read an issue but I look at the web site from time to time.

I would like to find a fish mag to subscribe to. I am in the USA and have picked up 2 fish mags over the last few months. One is Aquarium fish, which I did not like so much and the other was Tropical Fish Hobbyist, which I liked better. So does anyone have any opinion on these 2?

I keep tropical and pond and no marine.

I think it does. I seem to remember someone from the US saying that they hadn't recieved their copy and people in Blighty had.....
....Im sure they have something on subscriptions on their website.

I would highly reccomend it - if nothing else for the free gift with the subscription!!

yep i'm a subscriber too. read the current one front to back already (got it last thursday!! )

oh to breed zebra plecs. HMMM£££££££££MMMMM got me thinking now.

as to the question and answer bit i dont know where they get their experts from. in the current issue theres some really weak advise, they should recruit some of our mods in my opinion.

PS and my free gift you get with the subscription never turned up either

I remember a couple of issues back, they said "around a dozen" dwarf puffers would be good for a 15 gallon tank , good if you wanted all out war for a few weeks and then just keep the surviving three. I do think that most of the advice is good though.
