Anyone Have A Picture Of A Pregnant Swordtail?

Does anyone here have a picture of a pregnant swordtail?

I want a picture that shows how fat they get just before birth... so if anyone has any pictures like this, that would be great!

That was my female about 5 days ago and her gravid spot is just now starting to show a little bit.

I dont have a picture but i can tell you that the gestation period lasts a long time for a small fish, around 8 weeks.

Well she's never given birth before and by my best guess she has another week or 10 days from when that picture was taken... Meaning she should be giving birth in another couple days or so.

Could you please do me a favor and take a picture of her now? i wanna see a swordtail about as pregnant as they can get.

Here they are again, it's hard to see the gravid spot in these pictures... she can be so timid at times whenever the camera's around. The male has one of the longest swords I've seen in a while.

They're pretty darn good lookin in my opinion

the sword is so long due to the lyre tail gene.

But out of interest the longest natural sworad is from a wild swork tail called Xiphophorus montezumae

That is a nice lyretail, I will post pics of mine when they decide to keep still.
