So, can anyone tell me about the bloodworm life-cycle, food and living environments?

I have an idea already, but it'd be good to know if anyone had bred them successfully, or not.

bloodworm are mosquito larvae arent they? you could maybe try an old water butt at the end of the garden and see what happens :) its not something ive thought about trying to breed though.

I don't think you want to attempt producing live bloodworms unless you also want some mosquitoes to go along with them
Every summer we have hundreds of bloodworms in practically every standing water source in our yard... so really, all you need to have a good supply of them is a birdbath :p

wow, i would like to see a successful bloodworm hatchery. all you have to do to feed the adults is stick your arm in the place where you keep them
