Anyone Else Into Equestrian?

I do dressage, show jumping, eventing, and a little bit of western here and there. Dressage is my specialty. I'm hoping to one day be on the United States Equestrian Team if all works out !!! I'm just wondering if anyone else rides too?

i used to. but now i live in london and it's ridiculously expensive to ride, and even more expensive to own. i used to do a bit of show jumping and cross country, but just for fun, never to any level. never had my own pony either, just borrowed other peoples!

Yes, i used to do a lot of competing (mainly eventing and showjumping) but have done less since i've been at uni as i haven't had the time - Plus my horsebox has just died so i have no way of moving the donkey!!lol

Me and my little old donkey used to do some big stuff, we were nearly on the England under 21 eventing team but we had a fall and charlie broke his neck so obviously couldnt take part!!! He's not done anything so big since of course

i ride, have been for almost 15 years. i have my own horse and he is 15 now but got him as a 3 year old off the track. i used to show jump but my old age is proving to make me nervous of heights but at teh moment i am enjoying my horse as he is as i am finding him so much wiser in his older age.

I used to to. As I got older I moved from hunting and cross country to dressage and had a Prix St George warmblood. I haven't ridden for a while now but I've been thinking about starting again. Oh and I was also a Pony Club instructor which was fun.

I live on a horse farm and own 5 horses. I have had my own horse ever since i was 2 haha she was a 35 year old 11 hand crippled pony named windy who my mom used to sit me on and just lead me around. Apparently she kicked every other horses butt out in the pasture though, even a two year old belgian cross. Right now though, i foxhunt, take dressage and show jumping lessons, and i have been competing in combined training shows, but pretty soon ill be eventing if i can ever get my horse nice enough at dressage. He is a belgian tb. cross and 17 hands high, and has a rather strong neck.... so yeah haha

my gf of almost a year rides and compete and everything so i know plenty about the sport now. She does jumpers, hunters, and equitation, and she used to do dressage. She has a 16.3 hand tb, (who is an amazing jumper, she has jumped him almost 5 ft for warm ups and competes at 3'9 for her jumpers courses) and she has a 17.3 hand shire (which she has just for fun) who everyone at her barn calls the horse yacht due to his massive size. I love the sport very much and i have a great appreciation for it now. Her dream is to become an olympic rider and then become a proffesional with her own show barn. She has the talent and i think she will be getting there soon enough.

I had to sell my horse when we moved from Milton Keynes... with a new job I just didn't have the time to look after her even on part livery. She was a lovely 2 yr old IDxTB - but looking at her type now she was developing more along the TB lines where as for my size (5'10 14st male) I really need something more IDish.

I ride too have a 10yr old traditional coloured cob, I have had him for 7years. I enjoy doing a bit of everything he cant do anything to a great level. I hack, hunt, cub, pleasure ride, he can jump but im not keen, but we mainly enjoy showing he is quite good at that.
