sorry for not repling sooner aint been on this site for a wile.
had to change my plans,
and put finishing the outside flight off till march next year now due to cash
few more pics of some ov the frame work which has been took down painted and stored for winter.
and a few pics of my birds wich are in the shed untill the outside gets done theyve been breeding like mad iv had 12 chicks so far and some are on eggs, ill put some more pics ov the other birds i have as i got some more, when iv got time .

nice zebs was that a chestnut flanked white cock you got there just be carefull the zebs will rob the canaries nests of material given half the chance are you guna use the zebs to incubate bengalese or somat cant remember m8

all the white zebras are cfw hens, the one in my hand is a pied zebrafinch hen from a pied cock bird and a fawn hen hopeing to pair that one up with maybe a black cheeked zebra finch if i can get hold ov one to see what i get from them .
yeah i have put 2 nesting pans up for the canarys and filled em full ov hay and the zebies empty em in minites lol the canarys are still youngsters though ,so i think it will be next year i get chicks of them ,its the bengalise that are good foster pairents ill be useing them for that next year as im off to stafford bird show in march
and hopeing to pick up a pair ov
owl finches
hex grass finches
parson finches
strawberry finches
and will be useing the bengalise to rear the young of any ov them

iv also got a mate brining me 3 pairs ov indian silver bills some time this month

for the canaries cut an old jumper or some felt and sow it in to the bottom of the pans thats what i used to do with my rollers and they where fine how many cocks have you got to hens canaries that is?

thats cool i kept one cock to two hens and had them in double breeders there not the most monogamouse of birds lol you can buy the pan felt cut from most pet shops for less than 50p are you guna use dummy eggs?

well iv never breed canarys before
it may sound a stupid question scot but why do u use dummy eggs iv seen them on ebay but always wondered why you use them

canaries incubate from day 1 so first egg layed gets sat on so that if you have a clutch of say five the first egg hatches five days b4 the last so the size diff is massive you use dummy eggs by removing the real egg and adding a dummy do this until all the eggs are layed then replace the dummys with the real and they will all hatch around the same time stopping one or two of the bigger chicks gettin all the food if this dont help ill try to explain myself better
