Anybody know how old he might be ?

I have a red tail black shark in my tank he was given to me about 2-3 years ago along with my first tank he is about 4 and a half inches in length, i know these fish are tiny when you first get them so i reakon he must be some age. Anybody any ideas?

I would put i picture of him on but i cannot work out how to

There are many conditions that affect a fish's size, only one of which is age. There is no real way to tell how old it may be.
