Does anybody have one of these? I would love to get one, but I have never seen one anywhere and anytime I ask the shop owners look at me like it is April Fools day or something.

if i were to get a huge tank(and a bagillion dollars), i would get a coelacanth (thought o be extinct). because they are so awesome. im pretty sure you wouldnt find anything like that at your lfs.

They seem to be pretty difficult to get hold of, I've only heard of a few making their way to shops, and when they do they get snapped up pretty quickly.

any prehistoric fish are very rare to find, you could look online, however count on paying an arm and a leg for any of these beauties.

Evidently nobody seems to get what the thread is about...

And I can't spell the scientific name, so don't expect one.

wasnt that another thread just titled "monster fish"

I understood 100%, hints why I said check online (probably more chance to find but still slim to none), and that they'll cost and arm and a leg.

hmm so not an arm and a leg after all... I may invest in one yet... if I can find one :shifty: *pulls out fishing rod and plane ticket*

i swear, i think i've seen them up on aquabid a few times... maybe do a google search to see if a cached auction shows up. (in which case you can email the seller to see if he can get them again :) )

yeah they arent really that rare. my lfs stocks them every now and then.
