Ive read alot and gained alot of info from various sites and people.I want to know who has a 125g tank + prefer 180 + and where you have it. 1ST or 2ND floor etc. I havent had anyone come out and look yet but i want real world info and answers first. The place on the second floor where i am has a 17' span with 3" x 9
" 16" on center joists and i have almost finished my 8 foot long stand which ill use for whatever tank i get 120- 180g.
So just looking for some people that have similar setups and what size joists they are on. I know people will have someone come out and look and i plan on it but just want some info. Here is a site i posted in another thread that was very helpful.

Also i want a tank greater then 20" wide and longer then 48" and 20" high or more. I cant seem to find anything to fit this besides a 180 lol. I found a 125 but it was just 48" long which id like 60" long. Anyone know of tanks that could fit this req. ?

Mine (6ft x 2ft x 18" - 135g, 6ft x 2ft x 2ft - 180g) are kept downstairs in the living room, same as previous poster - concrete floors. I want them where I can see 'em - otherwise there's not much point in having 'em ;)

my 125gl is in my bedroom not sure on jost size though i put it aganst the full brick wall with no windows in.

Our 137G is downstairs on floorboards. Other half made sure they were solid before we put it there!

Ah thanks for the info guys. Where i live most people live on the first floor which has a basement underneath so putting them on concrete floors is usually not what people do. Unfortunately i dont know many people with fish tanks around here lol mostly under 75 gallons.

Lisalq that 18" is wide right?
