Brought a wild discus which to me looks like a female, which im hoping it is, but im not an expert, video isnt great light units broke so had to use light from my smaller tank (had to rip most of my plants out to put into other tank and some of the smaller ones i left in have come loose cos i had to move them to the side to have a lamp next to the tank, will re-arrange when my lightings sorted, and cleaned out my external today which threw aload of muck into the water when i turned it back on, didnt empty the water in it cos last time i did i had to prime it for so long to get the air out, but even then it threw aload of crap in)

but got a shot of my female scorp their fin shapes are very similar, and ive noticed the males havent been fighting very much since i put her in, which happened when i introduced the scorp (rest are male) if the vids too poor ill do another when i get a new light just wanna know asap going to chens next weekend wanna know what potential partner i need to get for her. Thought id throw a shot in of my new blue ram aswell :p Shes got a bit of fin damage so used up the lil bit of melafix i had left and have more on order. Cheers for any input heres the vid

Also when i added my male penang he was bullied like hell for the first couple of weeks, and this one aint atall apart from the male from my pair who has had a nip once or twice.

There is no way for you to sex the discus until they begin to breed. Then you can tell because the female will have a long tube that she uses to deposit her eggs. :good: good luck

Well all my males have very pointed fins, and judging by the shift in behavior in the group it doesnt look like ive thrown another male in, especially a new comer. But yeh i know they can be hard to sex untill they spawn, may just have to risk it  also there are ways, from fin shapes, colourations, lip sizes etc, but thats down to experts and different strains.

also whats the music on your video?
