I recently got a new 3.2ft tank which is approx 130liters, my other much smaller tank currenlty houses my dwarf puffers. I'v set up the new tank and let it cycle for the last week or two and now im totally cluless as to how to stock the tank, I would like somethin that is fairly odd yet not to expensive, my inital thought was to go for another type of puffer however id like some fish that i can actually see rather than having a species only tank with one large stationary puffer, altho saying that iid love a nile puffer or mbu altho im fully aware the tank is wayy too small, i was wondering if anyone can suggest any other equally facinating fish that i can house?

the tank currenlty has a sand substrate with a small peice of driftwood with a few scattered plants, iv moved my Synodontis multipunctatus in there for the time being and id prefrebly like to keep him there, however i can move him bk in with the dwarf puffers if need be, as he was orignially stocked with them and got on fine.

all suggestions welcome,
thanks in advance.

Exodon paradoxus perhaps? They feed like pirahna, yet are much smaller and less fussy. Be warned though, if you don't have enough of them, they will eat each other. Groups of 8+ should keep them from doing that.

Here's a link telling a little about this tetra: <a href="http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball,%2...20paradoxus.htm" target="_blank">http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball,%2...20paradoxus.htm</a>

Forgot to add: :hi:
Nice suggestion. I am waiting to start a 3foot tank of exodons, just waiting for them to become available by me again. They are awesome fish. I had some before.

They are a very tight shoaling fish and will ravage anything you drop in the tank.

check out this vid.

if you do want these fish and have any questions, message the guy who made that youtube vid. He is an expert on them and will gladly help you out.

that link you posted is ok, but has false info on it. It says they dont have teeth, lol. They have a lot of very sharp teeth. It also tells you what you can keep with them. I would only suggest a shoal of oto cats or soemthing similar. Some people say Piranhas are ok with them, but they will ravage a piranha.

thank you for the suggestion, oddly enough i was looking at them earlier in the week, but i decided against them as i thought they would be too aggressive and id be forced to have a species only tank :( i want a little more diversity, thank you though :good:

well if you dont want a species only tank, you could get some zebra danios, tetras, maybe even some panda corys mate
