I bought these plants yesterday off ebay. I can find barely any info on them other than what the seller provides. Anyone have any experience with these plants and any tips on growing them. They are all going into my 20gal high with 2.75wpg, CO2 and ferts.

Fissidens zippelianus
Pellia (Monosolenium tenerum)
Round Pellia (Süßwassertang)
Mini Pellia (Riccardia chamedryfolia)
Plagiomnium Trichomanes
Barclaya longifolia

Thanks,

The only one I have heard of is Barclaya. If it is the green form it will tolerate less light than the red form. There red form needs really good light. Keep it under noraml tropical conditions and it should be fine, (neutral PH and 24-28C).
The others could be marsh plants.

you may found plagnaminium to be non-aquatic, I had some sold to me as pearl grass and it never really flurished, battled on but never really did anything.
The rest are all fantastic plants, especially pelia, if it didn't get so messy id have it in all my tanks.

They should all be fine with those conditions the Pellia is easy to grow, I just grow the big one. The only one that may not be aquatic is the palgiomnium I have only read about it but there are many reports of it not being suitable for submersed growth long term.

The Barclaya longifolia I bought is the red variety. I was think that the Plagiomnium Trichomanes, didn't look all that aquatic. I will probably try half of it submersed and half above the water. I have a piece of driftwood that sticks out of the water in my bettas tank. The tank is 2.5gal with 13watts total would it work in there and is there anything special you have to do when growing it out of the water?

I really like the look of the pellia, What is the best way to trim and propagate it?

leave it alone, if you want to maintain it make sure the stone you attach it to is easily removable, treat it as a giant form of riccia.
