Any Ideas What This Is?

Anyone got any ideas as to what this could be? i think its a flying fox but not sure.... its about 1.5 inchs long very thin, its not shy atall but keeps its self to its self never bothers the other fish in the tank (mostly barbs) and they never bother it.

Siamese Algae eaters are very peaceful algae eating fish.I love my pair. They always keep my glass clean and they are excellent community fish (providing it is large enough for them)

It`s rare for me to disagree with you Carl but in this instance based on personal experience I feel I should.

I had a SAE a little while ago and I witnessed it taking chunks out of the tails of at least 2 of my Cherry Barbs and I ended up having to return it to MA. I would advise anyone thinking of keeping one to be open to the possibility that it can be a risky, temperamental fish to keep with others. They aren`t guaranteed to be nice and peaceful at all

At the end of the day, there will always be exceptions. Ive had mine with everything from Denisonni Barbs to Pygmy Corys. My pair gets along with anything, apart from members in the same family (Red Tailed and Rainbow Sharks)

yeah like i said in the first post it keeps its self to its self and is very shy, its in with barbs, GAE and a red finned shark and doesnt bother any of them.

I guess it`s the same with many other species of fish, some can be as good as gold and never bother another tank mate but I just wanted to make roachy aware that SAE`s can sometimes be unpredictable and turn out to be aggressive little b*ggers

A Flying Fox would have a black straight line with a gold stripe above that whereas Roachy19s fish (a SAE) has a slightly jagged line with no gold above it
