This is my current betta tank, Click
(abit messy  )

Is there anything i can do to it to make it look more nice, i have seen other members tanks on forums and i want to change mine! :look:

ATM, it just looks yellow and green. I added marbles but its not helping.

Ideas would be great, thanks! :) :good:

I think the marbles aren't helping, they look quite messy. A plain black bg would be better, fixed on with oil rather then sellotaped. And more plants-they look good when dense with a variety of leaf shapes and colours :good: Look forward to seeing what you come up with :)

Thanks Ellena, TBH, it was your tank i saw that made me want to change mine...

You should do it professionally! :D

Im thinking of re-doing it again, :/ Will upload piccies 2morow! :)

Taking the marbles out would be a good idea. Personally, I think that the four divided sections break up the flow of the tank. I realize that you may not have an option to move two of the fish and have two divided tanks rather than the one single divided (I'm not sure of your situation - space, etc.), but if you do, I would suspect your tank will have a "cleaner" look to it with more space between the walls.

Thats funny, i was just thinking that too  , im going to have 3 sections, as i only have the 3 bettas. Will do that tommorrow. :)

Update time!!! :)
Tank completed!, will invest in black sand though. Still not to keen on it, but will leave it as it is for now. :)

I think it looks really nice. It must have been a lot of work to do that.

The black bg has made a big difference, very nice :good: Once the plants fill out a bit, it will look great.
Any reason you don't fill it to the top? It would have a cleaner, sleeker look if you did.

It looks a lot better.

For what ever the reason for the level of the water, just add some black electrical tape down to the water level.

I kinda like the sand as it reflects the light too much black and you wont be able to see anything!
Maybe some smooth rocks/pebbles in black!

Thanks for the comments! :good: The bettas seem to be enjoying the space!

The water is not right to the top because then they might be able to jump over the dividers. I was initially going to get black substrate too, but my LFS has closed and the nearest Pet-Shop is an hour or so away.
