Hi

I am looking to see if people can give me some ideas of what I could put in my 2nd Tank that I am getting this weekend.

I already have a community tank setup and am looking for something different :)

Thanks

cichlids central/south american :good: oddballs :good:

if you cant think then just give the tank to me,,,i can :shout:

Lol would love to give you the tank but I am gonna have enough trouble moving it this weekend. Yeah some Oddball fish I suppose would be good or I was thinking a few Oscars? How many would be comfortable in a tank that size?

Hi Lenny
Firstly i would move the following across from your trigon

1x Oscar
1x Silver Dollar
1x Common Pleco

then i would add another 6 Silver Dollars, a nice Bichir (my choice would be a delhezi) a Rotkeil Severum and a trio of Geophagus surinamensis :good:

well two should be good, what i would do is buy six, sourced from different locations and grow them up together until they pair off, then rehome the others,,,as for dithers,,, tinfoils/dollars/birchirs/etc etc the skys the limit to a degree,,,,,

i have 3tinfoils/1spotted dollar/3tiger oscars/1 golden saum/1 gibbcep<sailfin plec>/1senegal birchir/1 chinese algae eater/1 hoplo catfish/2clown loaches
this is in my 60inch/24/24inch....filteration has to be very good, and keeping up with the waterchanges :good:

three oscars is not a good number so dont do this, iam ready for anything happening,,,

Have you got any pictures of your setup - Sounds smart. Yeah I mite do the Oscar thing, but then reading what you got I mite do a mixed setup again lol - Oh the choices haha

Hi

My Silver Dollar is about 10 years old, did have 2 but one died about 2 weeks ago. Pleco is about 4 years old and I have had the Oscar for about 4 months now. Then would you suggest just restocking the Trigon with more community fish?

Yes, all the fish you have there would greatly benefit from being in a long wide tank that the corner one that they are in atm,
If you get Silver Dollars that aren't too dismiilar in size then they should all be ok together.

And yes this would leave you with a lot of new options for the trigon
