Any Fellow West-coast Usa Members?

I originally wandered in here looking for advice on setting up my little 6 gallon tank for a betta and pals, but I had no idea there was such a thriving "home raised" betta community here. All this talk about the careful breeding you guys do has caught my interest in getting one of the beauties I see everyone posting pics of, but it looks like most everyone is from UK! I think it would be much more fun to have a betta that someone raised rather than a run of the mill betta-in-a-cup that you see in all the pet stores... I'd imagine it would have more personality as well... I wouldn't want to stress the poor guy by shipping it overseas, so are any of you from the US (west coast preferably)?
