Any Easy Way To Slow Down The Waterflow?

i have a dwarf gourami that is determined to build a nest. its a 20 gallon long well planted tank. i have 3 small sponge filters goin with three pretty small pumps. i'd consider the waterflow pretty minimal but its still too much for the nest to stay intact. is there anything i can do to to slow the flow? preferably without buying anything...

If there is no female,I wouldn't worry bout the bubble nest. If sponge filter is properly sized for the 20 gal, then one sponge filter should be sufficient IMHO.
