well i have fished for certain kinds of fish with canned corn before...but never tried feeding that to my fish - has anyone else? i assume if catfish in the wild like it, tropical catfish and fish in general probably do too, huh?

Some folks found a "walking catfish" crawling down the sidewalk , in S. Fla. At least a mile from any water.
Knowing I was a fishnut ,they called me. The fish was about 9 in. long, dirty, and all mouth. Of course I took him in.
I put him in a way too small 20 gal.
He would polish off a 2 oz. can of fish food in a day. I had a dog, so I tried feeding the catfish dry dogfood. He ate that, smalll pieces of chickin, and allmost any thing else I tried.
As my tank was too small, I gave him to a bar over on the beach, ( after making sure they knew what they were doing ). Big, well kept, freshwater tank. Last time I saw him, he was fat, and doing fine. The bar patrons had contest to see who got to feed the catfish for the week. Lucky fish.

my brother fed my fish boogers before just to get me annoyed, and they acually ate it
If they're good enough for toddlers, they're certainly good enough for fish!!

feed goldfish oranges they love it i thought it was really weird but i threw some slices in to my grandmas pond and they love it ( it takes a while for them to come to it)

I was at a pet shop this afternoon and there was a slice of orange in each tank... most of them at least...

My dominant Oscar doesn't like live food. But when I throw crickets in he will keep them in a group on top of the water and chase other fish away from them... it doesn't last long... he is that dominant... and the others are hungry... lol

LOL, that made my morning  :D :p

I used to have a betta which loved raw mashed peices of bacon; all my fish love crushed snails but thats about as far as it goes for me.
I once heard of somone on my old forum who fed their guppys chocolate  !

I am not as crazy as all of you. I think the wildest thing my fish have eaten is BBS. No wait, zucchini. I had some zucchini I was feeding me bearded dragon and I put some in my tank for my mollies. They really liked it. I certainly wasn't going to eat it, blech.

well if this is crazy fish keeping ideas and not just crazy foods i have a ton of ideas

1- Hooking up my two tanks with a fish highway.

2- Making a fish highway but leaving the top open.

3- Having a tube connecting an outdoor pond to an indoor tank. It would be cool in the summer to have my severum follow me outside
