Anti Snail Solution

I bought some plants at the LFS today, I saw some snails in there too. I don't want any snails in my tank. I've heard there was a solution you could bath the plants in to kill the snails. Could you tell me how t make it and how to use it?

You could take a bit of chlorine bleach from the laundry room and mix it one part bleach to 20 parts of tap water. Put the plants in it for a short time to kill the snails then put the plants into some dechlorinated water before adding them to the tank. Most plants will survive the chlorine dip but there are some which don't do as well. Since I usually don't worry that much about snails I have never tried this personally and don't recall which plants were the ones that have problems.
