I bought some plants at the LFS today, I saw some snails in there too. I don't want any snails in my tank. I've heard there was a solution you could bath the plants in to kill the snails. Could you tell me how t make it and how to use it?

You can use a mix of Aluminium Potassium Sulfate and water. Just wash the plant in it and let it soak for a bit.

Should get rid of snails and eggs.

1-2 teaspoons of Aluminium Potassium Sulfate in a gallon of water and let them soak for a couple of days.

Although i just soak mine in a bucket of water and visually inspect them.

Ive never had a problem with snails other than once when i didnt bother checking and snails started to show up. I just picked them out when i saw them and i just get the occasional one every now and then that i just remove.

I had snails in my tank but once I added my medusa pleco they are all gone. So I say add them and you might find on of your fish likes them to eat. My snails never eat my plants and they were the pound snails.
