Another Stupid Accident....fish Dead

Turned off my fluval internal filter to clean it, left it to get clean filter wool. Got the filter out of the tank and took it into the kitchen and left it in the sink. Filled a bucket with water out of the tank and took that in the kitchen to empty it. To my horror one of my gorgeous little male endlers was lying dead in the sink next to the filter!! The only thing that I think could have happened was that he swam up the filter out-let as soon as I turned it off!! I was so upset and bloody annoyed with myself because I realised that his death was through my own stupidity. I should have got the filter out of the tank as soon as I turned it off, a mistake I wont make again!!!! So please people make sure you take out the filter straight away or cover the out-let up with something. Poor liitle thing and they are such active little guys I love them.
