Hey there!
I'm a relative newbie to the forum world but wanted to put my two cents worth in here. *smile*
I have a 20 gal. tank for my Platy's and what I've done for the little nursery is I've used a tank divider and sectioned off about 1/8-1/4 of the tank. I've gone by way of breeding traps before and had some success for a while but then they always died. I use an aqua nursery for isolating the pregnant mom. Wonderful contraption. The mother gives birth and thr fry float down through the funnel and are whisked away through a tube into a seperate compartment away from the mom. once she is done, I release her back in the main tank and empty the nusery full of fry, into the sectioned compartment. They are doing well..or so I thought. They are about a month old and still fairly small. I recently read that they need to be fed between 4-6 times per day. Well, I'm sure that was my problem as I was only feeding them 3 times. I've stepped up the feeding and have aadded tubifex to their diet, last night. They seemed to really enjoy so I'll keep adding some nightly.
