Another Ram Sexing Question

2 new rams for my blackwater tank. Im pretty sure the other is a Male, in not sure what this one is.
 
Both were pretty pale when i got them, bit more colour now, but dark tiger stripes so guess still stressed.
 
Can anyone help me sex this one please?

It looks way too stressed to sex at the minute. Do you have better pictures? And do you have a picture of the other one so you can be sure of the sex of them both?

No other pics, it only came out of hiding today, the other  is still very shy.
I will wait till next weekend and take some snaps then. Thanks though

No problem, I want to say male just because of the shape of the dorsal fin but that's not always a good way to sex them Will have to wait till you can see the black spot on their side. If they have a blue sheen over the black spot, they're female. If they have a pure black spot and no blue sheen over it, they're male.

Thanks, I kept them a few years ago ad ther was so much about sexing them, dorsal fin height, pectoral fin shape, pink bellies etc etc.
 
Never heard of the blue sheen method.

Are these Bolivians or German blue rams

I've heard that German Blue females have a blue sheen on the dot but have never heard this about Bolivians and the fish in the picture looks like me to be and incredibly stressed Bolivian.

Nope, it's a German Blue. Bolivians are a lot different.
