Another Panda Cory Problem :-(

Hey all, another 1 of my panda's is worrying me

i noticed today that the little tenticles by his mouth are barely there at all!!

there is no sign of any rot/damage or anything

should i worry about this?

You mean his barbels.
What substrate do you have in the tank. As sharp gravel can wear them down.
They need there barbels to find food.
Short thin barbels can be a sign of a bacterial infection.
Is he showing any other symtoms.

i have a small pea gravel,its not sharp so i dont think it would harm his barbels!!

nope no other symptoms,seems fine.my other corys are all ok with the substrate.

so you are saying if he has not got any barbels,he cant find food?

he has some there,but nothing like the rest,little stumps realy!!

Does he look bloated.
Any red sores or red streaking on his body.
Does he lay to inside.
Is he listless and lethagic.

doesnt look any different to my other panda's
not bloated
no sores or red bits
he isnt doing very much,just staying in a cave,so yes lethargic

not sure what you mean by lay to inside!

what should i do then do you think?

i have a small hospital tank all ready to go,what med could i use for him?

also off topic,bt what can i clean the hosptial tank out with after use,to kill any remaining bad things?

Clean the hospital tank with bleach and rinse well. Let it dry out for aday.

no way,i havent got any of that!!

i have that api melafix stuff and some meth blue.

if i cant get hold of that interpet stuff 2moz,what else could i get? as my lfs isnt that big

You really need to get the anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
Most lfs sell the interpet range.
If not you will have to order it online.

i removed the chap and placed in a dose of the internal bacterial med,but he didnt make the night




he was very small. compared to the others i had with him,he didnt seem to grow very well

I would still add the anti internal bacteria med with losing a few corys.
