:D Hi everyone, have been reading the forums for a while and have picked up some great advice-so thanks already!
HAve a pretty established 30l Biorb and have recently started to set up my new 75l tank-tiny judging by many of the posts, but until I work out what other furniture I can ditch/walls I can knock down will have to do! LOL.
Both tanks test 0 for NO2 and 3 and I have recently introduced 4 Zebra Danios to the new tank (jump started the cycling with substrate from my Bioorb), however my pH readings for both tanks is 6.4-same as my tap water and I wonder if I need to adjust this level.
My Biorb has 2 cherries, 2 neon Tetras, 2 glowlight Tetras and 3 Endlers (all of whome have been there for 2 years) and so far only Danios in the new tank.
I have to admit I am only recently getting into the chemistry aspects of fishkeeping  and think that despite my neglect the Biorb community have managed to survive although I will probably move them up slowly to the new tank once it matures (payback for them!)
So should I fiddle with the Ph or not?
Thanks
Seren

Will be looking forward to reading your posts!

There is quite a bit to learn about the nitrogen cycle, but you will catch on quick!

I am going to be getting some Endlers soon!

Howdee & Welcome :)

Don’t bother adjusting the pH unless you plan on keeping wild caught fish. Then adjust it to the desired level before you add it to the tank. For most fish tho, I would leave it be. If you are concerned about the pH being a little low, you could add some shells, limestone or dead coral skeleton to the tank. They are calcium based and will slowly raise the pH a bit. The amount they raise the pH will depend on how many/ much of this stuff you put in the tank.

:thanks: Thanks for the welcome, I've spent loads of time trying to catch up on a humengous range of topics, only just realised that I had not replied to you guys.
Thanks also for the advice Colin, I did have a little laugh at the thought of finding any Guppies in the wilds of Aberystwyth (W Wales-wild they would be pretty livid!LOL). However, now that I have been reading up on the forum, I do know what you mean!
I do love my Endlers FHM, although having read up on them a bit I realise that my guys are senile delinquents (bit like me I suppose), but despite being ancient in Endler speak (2) they are still extremely active, so I have decided not to tell them
