Well...I've made a few posts already and thought it was about time to say hello to everyone and introduce myself.
My name is Gavin and I live in Leicestershire in the UK. I'm an IT Manager of 10+ years and been working/playing with computers since I was knee high to a grass hopper. I had my first aquarium when I was 8 which was sold when I moved at 10. It was a 4 foot tank with various fish in....a complete mix really.
A few years later, when I was 23 I purchased my next tank...It was a 4x2x2 tank with a sump...it become a wonderful Reef aquarium over time, while eating away at my bank account. I sold that setup just before xmas this year, vowing to my better half that I had given up keeping aquariums.....
Well....time passed and we moved house. My better half realised how much I've been missing my aquarium, so she said I could have another.....and here I am.
The new tank arrives on Saturday. Its a Fish'R'Fun 2100...which is basically a 101cm x 50cm x 62cm tank with built in filtration and lights. I opted for a plug and play as my last setup was so noisy and I didnt want to go down the same root...and 'The-Wolf' (I think that's right) advised me that it is very quiet. I plan on having a planted setup and as of yet, I havent decided on any fish other than an RTBS as I loved my first one so much when I was 8 (but it will be going in last).
I would like to thank everyone who has helped me so far, and look forward to becoming more active and being able to help others on the forum in the future.....
