Hi all,
I have just joined your forum having found you on a web seach for tropical fish advice.
I have been keeping tropical fish for around a year and a half now, having always wanted to but never having had the space. My other half bought me a 60L tank a while back but I had nowhere to set it up. When we moved in together I set it up in our lounge and ran it for about 6 months, by which point the bug had well and truly bit me!
I then set up another 160L tank in the study with a view to trying something more aquascaped and now I also have a small 30L tank in that room as well, although I may change this for a similar sized fluval edge tank and move it into the lounge.
Having experimented a bit to begin with I have now settled on a particular style. I like dense planting with a range of interesting and complimentary plants and am biased towards small and interesting community fish and invertebrates.
Hopefully you will think my choice of fish so far is interesting. They are as follows;
60L
Yellow forktail rainbowfish
Copper harlequin rasbora
Rocket panchax
Rummy nose tetra
Cardinal tetra
Endlers livebearers
Shadow catfish
Borneo redline halfbeaks
Dwarf Suckermouth catfish
Cherry shrimp
160L
Redline rasbora
Blue emperor tetra
silvertip tetra
marbled hatchet fish
wrestling halfbeaks
Lampeyes
Gold spot dwarf plec
dwarf suckermouth catfish
Siamese flying fox
bamboo shrimp
river shrimp
Amano shrimp
30L
Siamese fighter (male)
Dwarf anchor catfish
Dwarf suckermouth catfish
I am hoping now to seek further advice from others and learn about other fish and plants which I could keep.
Rich
