Another N00b

Hey Ya'll,

Have had my Beta Fish for 3 years now and decided to take the bigger step. The wife (boss) and I bought the following:

- 20 gal long all glass with matching hood
- AquaClear 30 filter
- BASIC 100w heater
- 25lbs of of pretty gravel
- Stainless steel thermometer
- Several ornament

My local fish dealer also sold me a red bottle of PRIME

He recommended me to add 4 drops/gallon instead of two in the month of march
due to the flushing of our county's water system which apparently holds extra chloramine.

Just wanted to say hello!

Planning on adding fish in 2 days and plants the week after unless suggested otherwise. Hope I'll have fun with the new hobby and on this board.

Just wondering... have you cycled your tank?
If not you might wanna read around here before adding any fish!

Hi welcome to TFF.

I would not add any fish and read the pinned topics about cycling your tank in the beginner's board then ask whatever questions you have. To give a time frame, it will be 4-6weeks before your ready to add fish, unless you do certain things to speed it up.

I'm trying to start my cycle using 4 Danio's. (2 zebra,2 pearl) Keeping an eye on the Ph levels etc.
