Yes i know there are several others and i have looked at them and the stickys, but i am really confused..

Right basicly, i have notied fry in my tank and they must be the guppies, the fry are no more than 1-2 days old, but my guppys gravid spot is still VERY black, but then yesterday (when i noticed the fry) it was as clear as clear can be, buttoday its prpper black again? I cant understand how it could go from so clear to so black in a day. Could it just be waste building up or has she got more to come? Though if so why wasnt her gravid spot black yesterday?

Right i think i found the answer online if anyone else is confused.

Apparently it is due to the lighting (i also noticed this but wasnt 100% sure). When the light is off and they go to sleep, the colours fade and i am guessing so do the little fry inside her? But when you turn the light back on within 30 minutes that big black gravid spot is back to its usual self!

So i am guessing my Guppy is STILL pregnant 3 days later which seems a bit odd as she has already popped some out! I will see what happens, i did get a little thing to put her in so all the fry will be safe when the finally do come out but i felt sorry for her being cramped up in that little tiny box.

Those breeding traps aren't very good; she'd be better off back in the main tank.

Yeah she is back in the tank now, fry will just be the survival of the fittest i guess! Though i have big rocks in there which they cn get uder and the other fish cant
